Introducing the New and Improved Word Cloud

Written by Ashkvina | October 19, 2021

If you love using word clouds to engage your meeting and event attendees we have great news! The Pigeonhole Live’s Word Cloud just went through a major upgrade with a brand new look and exciting functionalities.

Here are all the upgrades and changes in the new word cloud:

Bolder, brighter word clouds on the Projector Panel

There’s nothing more exciting than displaying a captivating word cloud on your projector screen or meeting window to showcase your participants’ responses - whether in text or emoji. With the new word cloud, you can enhance that experience with bolder, brighter colours. Your word cloud colours will also match the colour of the theme you’ve selected!

View the word cloud from the Audience Web App

Attendees can also view the word cloud directly on the Audience Web App as they submit their responses. Every additional response they submit creates an immediate impact on the word cloud that they can see instantly, prompting more responses and better engagement.

Updated functionalities on the Audience Web App

We’ve also streamlined the user experience for word cloud on the Audience Web App to provide a more seamless experience for attendees.

You will notice that the vote and comment function is now removed for the Word Cloud feature and submitted answers are no longer listed in the attendee's view.

With the new layout attendees can simply enter a text or emoji answer in the text box and hit the Submit button. They can also submit multiple answers entries at the same time for a quicker and easier way to stay engaged in the word cloud.

The refreshed design also comes with an auto-suggestion feature that provides word suggestions if an attendee's entry matches a word that has already been submitted to the word cloud by another attendee.

Attendees can only submit a unique entry to the word cloud, repeated submissions of the same word will not be accepted.

Updated Word Cloud settings on the Workspace

With the new updates to the word cloud, you will also notice some differences when setting up.

These are the old word cloud settings.

The setting options for Comments and Comments Filtering is now removed from the word cloud setting.  Additionally, you now have the option to limit the number of answers an attendee can submit on the Audience Web App (as shown below).

Updated Insights

The new word cloud insights will also capture the entire word cloud in a ready-to-print PDF that you can easily distribute to your team or print as a report. You will also receive a breakdown of all the individual submissions and the votes for the word cloud as it appears on the Admin Panel.

Changes on the Admin Panel

On the Admin Panel, word cloud answers are displayed from the highest number of submissions to the lowest.

The number of votes next to each entry refers to the number of times the word was submitted to the word cloud. The name of the attendees who have submitted the word will appear right below it.

You can also preview the word cloud in the Admin Panel.
